I'm Kirsten, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (ND) with over 15 years of experience treating trauma and anxiety. I'd love to help! You can find me at my office, In Practice Counseling. My clients often start therapy because of feeling guilty, overwhelmed or having past pain interrupt building new opportunities. After working together, clients often begin to feel more confident, empowered and present. My favorite areas of focus are helping adults with PTSD and complex trauma, anxiety, grief and life changes. I have years of specialized training/experience with and feel passionate about people healing after interpersonal and systemic harm (such as physical or sexual abuse, neglect, domestic violence, oppression). My practice is collaborative, affirming of all identities, and includes evidence-based interventions (such as CBT, EMDR, self-compassion, and mindfulness-based strategies).
